    Pussy Riot: Neues Video gegen Putin

    Inhaftierte russische Punkband nicht mundtot

    Die zu zwei Jahren Straflager verurteilte Punkband Pussy Riot ist nicht zum Schweigen zu bringen. Jetzt tauchte ein neuer Song auf, in dem die feministische Band gegen Putin agitiert.

    Das Video zum Punksong "Putin Lights Up The Fires" wurde vom britische Guardian zusammen geschnitten und zeigt Bilder von der Gerichtsverhandlung sowie von der Protestaktion in Moskau, für die die drei Frauen zu zwei Jahren Straflager veurteilt wurden. Putin ist eng mit der russisch-orthodoxen Kirche verbunden und hat im Patriarchen Kyrill einen mächtigen Unterstützer. Deshalb hatte die Band diesen Ort für ihre Protestaktion ausgewählt.

"Lustige Geschichte: Vor 10 Jahren kam ich durch Tonspion erstmals so richtig mit nicht-Mainstream-Musik in Kontakt. Ich hab alles runtergeladen, was es so gab. Low, Cat Power, Songs: Ohia, White Stripes... Ohne Tonspion gäbe es meine Musik vielleicht gar nicht. Und jetzt bin ich selbst auf der Seite. Irgendwie gerade so wow."
